Government Fears Alien Invasion (part 1)

The United states Government, the Air Force in particular, has for years been investigating the exsistance of Unidentified Flying object (UFO's). These investigations have had a series of code names that by now have become well know with UFO buffs and consperacy theorists. All of the investigations are really one massive government investigation into a possible threat to national security. Respectively, (I'm not exactly sure this is the proper order) Project: Blue Book was the first, then Project: Sign, and then Project: Grudge. These were all conducted by the department of defense, again, specifically by the Air Force. There was (is?) another project that was started on a higher level of government, This was Operation: Majestic 12 or MJ-12. Majestic 12 was created by a special top secret executive order made by then President Harry Truman. MJ-12 consisted on 12 military and civilian officials and scientists who would investigate each case of Unidentified Objects in US air space. If they were to discover any possible threats they would use a direct line to the Oval Office to inform the president. The president and his cabinet would convein at a top secret secured bunker and decide what their actions are. Should they attack whatever it was? Could they attack it at all? Should they just wait and watch? To the best of my knowledge this never occured, although the government isn't exactly forthcoming about its "black projects." This the first part in a series. I don't know how many I'll do. But I'm pretty sure that part 2 will deal with the infamous Area 51
