Yo Carrie, Yeah...that 'love' word. Sometimes ya just wanna suck it back into your mouth when you say it...coz once you do..wow, thats the big time play. Maybe the guy with his 'I'm not ready to tell you yet' means exactly that. I mean, with love you HAVE to be sure about it before you say it. If anything, I think the guy probably did the right thing - in that he probably needs a bit of time to figure out if he does in fact love you. I mean, would you really have liked to hear him say 'I love you' if he wasn't really sure about it? If he had said it, yet wasn't sure, how would that make you feel? Look at it this way, if he does take time to think about it THEN comes back to you with an answer...you would know its probably a genuine one. yeah, your right, but it's like, when he says things to me like " I want you to be my girl" and all that stuff, and he was the first one to say the Love word. it's okay, no matter if I feel weird when he says, then I say something, and it's like a big deal, i don't understand men !!!!!!!!!!! lol, well some of them I do... but it's so hard.. i'm starting not to like "Love" all that much.. but thats for your advise, it really made me think... Well you said it took yu awhile to figure out that you felt this way, maybe he is sorting through his feelings. He may not want to tell you yes he feels strongly about you and realize he doesn't or say no and realize that he does. Telling someone you love them is a big step and I think he just wants to be sure of his feelings. Give him a few days and see what happens. Aester  |

We never did hook up when we met. Like you, while I liked him enough for him to be one of my best friends, I didn't feel he was, "the one" so I never got involved with him, but he told me later that he liked me since the beginning and when I rejected him he got kind of bent out of shape but still wanted to be friends. Over the years, we've each had a couple different girl friends or boy friends but we stay friends and every couple of years or so he puts me though this big trip about him being in love with me. One time he wanted me to write him a letter and tell him exactly how I felt about him and he was going to do the same. I did it - then kicked myself because he never wrote his letter. When I tried to get a straight answer out of him all he would say was "I love my girl" and "now is not the time, but our bond is strong". We've talked about getting together, tried to plan it once, but some unexpected thing always happen to keep us from coming together. So to me, that's Gods way of saying "maybe it isn't meant to be". He has had the same girlfriend for the last 4 years and even still, he would continue to call me and say, "I wish you were my girl" and I'd have to remind him about his girlfriend. It was very confusing for me to continue being friends with him because of it. In some strange way, I think my friend had some deep need to be loved by me because I had rejected him as a lover in the beginning. It was an ego thing. He talks like we will be friends forever and "one day" 20 years from now, he'll finally win me over. Last year he finally stopped and proposed to his girlfriend so I'm still friends with him. hey guys ! thanks for the advise, it really made me think, and I was talking to my step sister and she thinks that I might have caught him off guard, and I was the first girl to say that to him, but what ever the case, I am going to give him to thursday to say something, and if he doesn't I'm going to tell him to forever hold his peace, because I am moving on... I'll tell you guys what happens thursday ! thanks a again, i read and took everything in that everyone said, excpet that sex thing, i wasn't understanding that. lol... take care.
