My Grandma used to have a statue of Mary in her front yard too. No one ever stopped by to pray in front of it. In the month of May (the month Catholics honor Mary for being the Mother Of God) people put flowers in front of her statue in churches and say a prayer or two. I highly doubt people are praying on someone's front lawn. As for it moving.........it's your story...........Hawk |

as unbelievable as this story sounds it is true. My parents live around the corpus christi area and we heard that story on the news. Alot of people believe in miracles like that and they seem to believe if they are around that miracle, they will somehow be blessed. I just wanted to let you all know that the person who wrote this is not lieng because I have also heard that story. If I get a chance to I will research it and give you more info.. |

Oops I just read the story again and I think the reason it doesn't make sense is because the author put this in the wrong order. The owner of the statue claimed that the statue had moved, so then people started to come over to her house and hoping to see the statue move also and that is how this whole ordeal started. When the media got involved it then became more publicized in south Texas.

Thanks 1893, it makes more sense now. I couldn't imagine why people would just stop by this guys house just to see his Mary statue, then noticed she moved! Thanks for clearing that up. I wonder if she can do the mecarena! Just Kidding! Hawk |

I've heard a lot of Miracle happen with the Virgin Mary, crying statues crying Holy Water or Blood, and I've experienced one in Kentucky... the Lady that talked to the Virgin said that she saw Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus. And before she talked you would see hte sky part and three clouds in the center appeared. It's very Spiritual--- Fire Eye |

i'm a really religious person. i have images of her everywhere in my room. i'm only 13. my mom is really impressed that i'm so impressed with the Virgin Mary (the greatest woman ever born.)
If you see that statue any time soon, tell her Ashlie sends her deepest prayers to her. she to answered my prayers. to me, she is the most gracious person who ever lived.
Thanks a bunch.
P.S. i'm Catholic.
