This is a story that was submitted to Unsolved Mysteries by an unknown author.I had a black chow named Bear, that i absolutly loved. He was very protective over me and my brother,and wouldn't let anything happen to us. My entire family loved him and he used to sit next to my dad and lay his head on his lap. It was really sweet. Well when we moved to Michigan, we lived this stone house on a pretty busy road. One night Bear was outside and for some reason crossed the road. Because it was dark and he was black the on comming car didn't see him. The next day, my brother and I didn't even notice he was gone. I guess we just took for granted that he would be there and figured he was out in the corn field when he didn't come great us. That night my mom and dad told us that they had found bear on the side of the road dead. It didn't really hit me for a few minutes, but what really upset me was that i didn't have a chance to say goodbye. Later that night while in bed, i woke up to the feel of fir on my hand. when i sat up there was bear with his! head on my bed. I realized, that he had come to say goodbye to me. After that i felt much better. I tried to tell my mom, but she said i was just dreaming. I don't think so. Well after a couple of years we moved to a new house. My mom didn't want any new pets and turned down all the strays that would come by. Then one winter a black cat started hanging around our porch. I thought he was the cutest thing in the world and wanted to keep him. After much begging my mom finally let me bring him in the house to warm up and the first thing he did was run over to my dad and lay on his lap. From then on we kept him. Now Shadow sleeps with me and listens to me just like bear did. He even sometimes acts like Bear. No one believes me, but if you ask me shadow is just the reincarnated spirt of Bear. How it changed my life:i just believe in the after life more than usual
