I want to tell you of
a lady, I once knew
"With silver hair
and eye's so blue

"She alway's had a hug
and a kind word to say
"This sweet and gentle
lady, who loved each passing
day

"She had a twinkle in'
her eye
"There was nothing she
did not know, and nothing
she didn't try

"I loved her with my
very soul
"She made my life complete
somehow, she made it whole

"She lived her life and
Loved the "Lord"
Never did she judge
to each their own accord

"She was gracious and kind
with an open and loving mind
"As year's went by, her
body grew weak
"She lay in her bed
only able to speak

"Then the day came
when the angel's
took her home
"I cried till I
scarcely could see
"How I felt so all alone

Never a day goes by
that I don't see her
sweet face,
"Every line and wrinkle
were etched, and placed there
by "Grace

"Thankyou Grandma, for all
of your love
"Your happy with the Lord
now, somewhere up above

"I know that you will
greet me, when it's
time for me to go,
but until then I'll be
here, still missing and
loving you so"

My Grandmother was a wonderful woman, Her faith was unwavering, and she had 9 children which 2 died, she saved the family from starvation, in the depression by opening a Bakery and talking in boarder's, sleep was something she had very little of,My aunt and uncle were missionarie's and my Grandma, travelled to Africa and worked along side them, nuturing and caring. I am blessed to have had her in my life."At 99 year's of age she succumed to pneumonia and passed away while sleeping. All that she did live's on today, and I thank God for that.

Date: 2/8/2001 11:12:00 AM  From Authorid: 19092    What a wonderful tribute to your Grandmother. My Grandmother was a much different women then you have described, she lived in the woods of Montana in a log house that was built by their own hands. After Grandfather died she refused to leave, so that is where she finished her years. She was a strong, loving and caring women also, but very opinionated, LOL. I think that was part of that age. God Bless, King-Caspiam
