In historic Ellicot City, Maryland there's a place called seven hills. Legend has it that the place was cursed hundreds of years ago when a horrific murder was commited at a female institute now known as creepy college. This place is a home to many urban legends Im going to tell you about one i have experienced personally. Its the legend of Heartbeat bridge. Legend has it that many years ago a rich family owned much of Ellicot City, they had only one child a beautiful daughter named Eliza. But Eliza dissapointed her family very much when she fell in love with a slave named Damien. Her parents forbade her to see him but she just wouldnt listen. In those days it was unheard of for a rich white woman to have relations with a slave. she was an embarrassment to her family. One night her mother gave her an ultimatum either leave Damien or leave the family. Eliza couldnt handle the decision so she decided to commit suicide, she told Damien her plans and why she felt she had to go through with them, but he could not bear to live without her. They decided that if they could not be together in life than they would be together in the afterlife. They went out to the bridge now known as heartbeat bridge where they weighted their feet down and jumped into the river below holding on to each other with all thier might. Legend has it that at the time when they jumped over the whole town fell silent and the only sound that could be heard for miles was the beating of their hearts as one. Now if you stop your car on heartbeat bridge at midnight you can hear the heartbeat of the young star crossed lovers destined to be together but only in the afterlife.

that people have to die for eachother just because
