relasionships i believe should be based on emotion not age though if the age difference is very high it makes a relationship very hard to hold onto.....Shadow Void ![]() |

10-16 is not acceptable (i hope u realised that) but 16 and up really doesn't worry me that much (though i think 18 is more suitable) I do think it matters, but only when they are younger (-18) - S.C. Gendo Ikari ShipPagan ![]() |

Very well said shadow void. Age normally doesn't make a differance, only where the law is concerned and the level of maturity. You must be able to respect and love your partneer for who they are and where they are and are going in life. Age differance can make a differance there, but love can triumph. ![]() |

I dont think it matters, relationships should be based on love and trust. the only time i dont agree with it is if u are under 16 with a very older person, just my opinion tho. ![]() |

Hmmm...depends really. Like, if there was a 11 year old going out with an older man, yes. But no, I don't see a problem with it. Just have to wait till the apprpriate age I guess. ![]() |

No I don't think age matters unless its like an 18 y/o going with a 14 y/o or something like that. So no I don't think so........... ![]() |

Heh, i gotta agree with all of the above. But a crush and a relationship are two diff things, i mean when i was 12 i had crushs on LOTS of "older men" famous and not. ![]() |

well, yes i think it does. like you shouldnt go out with someone 10 years older than you. thats just to much older, like if iwas 15 and i went out with a 24 year old, that wouldnt work, he is to old and experiensed for a girl that young, but yet agin if you were 25 and you dated a guy 35, there is still quite a bit of difference. He would be old when your still young..lol...any way, good posting-- ![]() |

I personally don't think a 10 year old has any business being in a romantic relationship at all, let alone a 15 or 16yr old. When older 18 and beyond it isn't a big deal because you have experienced some crushes, love ect. ![]() |

Well, it depends. if Anna Nicole Smith is married to an eighty year old man, then it is probably for the money. I believe if they are truly ib love it doesn't matter ![]() |

Personally, I don't think there is a big problem with age differences. I am married to a man who is 4 years younger than I am. My brother's wife is 8 years younger than he is. My cousin is maried to a man who is 3 years older than her mother (she is 25, he is 46). It is all a matter of the personalities of the people involved. In school, I think there is a bit more of a problem than after one graduates (for both ethical and legal reasons), but once you're out of HS, I don't think age should matter. I think that anyone over 21 who is dating someone under 21 should have enough sense to obey the law...as anyone over the age of 18 should stick to folks who are at least over the age of 16. But for the most part, it's the level of maturity that is important here...and not the age. ![]() |
| Date: 2/11/2001 8:25:00 AM From Authorid: 24557 i think age IS important when having a loving,long lasting relationship,only on an extreme level,4 or 5 yrs don't really make a difference.Pink Bubbles |

relationships shouldn't be based on age but it does matter. after age seventeen i don't think two years is a big difference but 16/14 is a big difference. then when you get really old like me it's a totally different thing. at my age (36) 10 - 20 years is no big deal. but as far as the kids go, it matters. ![]() |

That's a tough question. I'd say that it does depend on age a little bit. I mean, if there's like a 15 or 20 year difference or something... that's pretty crazy. But I don't see anything wrong with like 5 or so years. I mean heck, my friends parents are 9 years apart. So I guess love can last through that kind of age difference ![]() |

I have a serious prob with young people under 18 going out with over 18 people, I dont know why I just think its down right wrong. As for over 18 in "my opinion" anything like 6 years age difference is to much. My hubby is 5 years older than me and when I first met him I was debating on it lol. But thats just my veiws on it :)... ![]() |

I think it depends on the situation. I think if a 25 year old has a relationship with it 16 year old it is different then a 30 year old with a 45 year old. If both parties are mature adults then I don't think age should matter but I don't think an adult should be with a child. If you truly love that person then wait until they are older and mature. I think that well number one 10yr old and 16yr old, is completely wrong, a crush is one thing that's fine, but if a relationship had formed, it's not cool and if a 16yr old was interested in a 10yr old in that way they've got problems and alot comming to them. I personelly think that bf/gf relationships shouldn't really happen until their 16 and they should stay within two years difference until they turn 18, just to avoid problems with all those pesky laws. but once your past 18 if you find someone that you really click with, hey, age won't matter. ![]() |

no i don't. It just matters that the two people love each other. My g/f's a year older than me! And since i'm a guy, you'd think i'd mind. But it doesn't matter...my dad and mom are like 5 or 6 years apart! ~GodLifter~ ![]() |
