[Authors note: I have been sick all day with a slight fever and major headache. I wrote this this morning after taking a shower, but please note that i am NOT a cutter, though my character is. I just wrote this to let out a little emotion.]
Removing the starched hard towel, the girl reached behind the shower curtain to test the water. Her fingertips turned red at the touched and she drew her hand back quickly, but the water still wasn't hot enough. She turned the knob to the left and stepped under the steaming streams.
The comforting water seemed to wash away all the mental pain she had endured as it engulfed her body. She only flinched as it ran over the cuts and scars on her body, but the physcal pain felt far better then then mental. The girl imagined each fight, insult, and negative though roll off her body with the waters and down the drain.
It felt so good to be under that water, the girl reached back behind her to increase the temperature. With every twist of the knob, the degree's grew higher and more pain flowd down the drain. Soon the knoob could no longer be turned, the girls skin was almost raw, the girl almost smiled.
Then reality knocked against the bathroom door.
"Are you almost done in there?" A shrill voice called.
"No ma, its only been a few minutes!"
"Hurry then, your father needs the bathroom!"
"Can't he use the one downstairs?" the woman pause for a moment, as if she had left.
"He wants to use this one!" She retorted.
"Fine!"The girl screached. She shut off the water and felt all that pain come rushing back at her with the cold air. Her moment of peace was gone, and so she sat down hard against the still warm porcelin tile. The girl curled her body into a ball, and as the cold air enveloped her, she cried.
