i didn't think we needed one ( a filter) either. I saw one on sale and thought, "what the heck":) but after doing the tea test, I will never go back. i could not, after seeing the differance for myself, go back to plain tap water. really!!!! take the test:) i thought our tap was ok, not horrible, until............LOL |

CB:) maybe the test will work with bottled purified water and tap:) sweet honey it is worth a try, do the test with a dollar bottle of purified water and your tap, then show your mom. bet me, she will not want to drink the regular cup of tea when she sees what the other one looks like. like I said, i thought my tea was fine, until i saw what the purified tea looked like:( ick!!!!LOL |

That is pretty gross. I think its probably a chemical reaction with some alloids that filters filter out of the water that react with the tea or something like that. I doubt its what you are probably considering dirt and grime thats making the unfiltered water turn the tea dark and foamy. Its still really disgusting though! |

From Authorid: 20296
I do not know WHAT causes the dark and foamy to happen with the tap water, but if it was the filter, my water purifier has a filter and even leaves like sand in the bottom of the picture, but the tea is soooo light. i made some green tea and it sat out for a while and later it was still so clear and refreshing looking. I had also left the other one for a shorter period of time and it left stains and yuckies around the cup. i think the tap water has chemicals or something that makes it foam:( don't know, but never going back to nasty poop tap water. |

I drink purified water too. I used to have a company come over and change the giant canisters every 2 months, but they changed their system, so now you get the big plastic jugs full of clean water..It changes the molecular structure so that the water is wetter..does that make sense? Love, |

really thunderhead, that is cool. i know since i started using purifies filtered water in my waterfall lights, there have been no hard water stains on the glass:) i am concerned with putting "hard" water in my body. think of what it can do to your artiries and stuff if it clogs up the shower heads:( |

I won't drink regular tap water either...I don't care how much they say they have cleaned it...there are always small microbes and yucky things still in their. My son's pediatrician told me that I should be using tap water for his formula and I looked at him like he was crazy and said, "No way!". He told me that he needed the fluoride...which, yes, is true...but I buy bottled water with fluoride in it for him. Yes....it costs more...but tap water can be so gross....I think I'll just keep doing what I'm doing...I'd rather be safe than sorry. LOL. Good post...gross...but good, CBlossom. -Lady Nyx |

I drink tap water all the time-personally I'm not really concerned-I mean, just think of all the stuff we breath in and eat/drink without knowing it. And like, how many germs we come in contact with every day. So I don't really worry about it, it's not like we're going to die drinking tap water. lol. God Bless U! Luv, Becky |

EwWw. My mom bought this Brita water purifier and we haven't used it yet. But we quit drinking our regular well water b/c it tasted nasty and was making us sick. So we should really hook that brita up soon! lol. I wonder what caused your tea to be dark and foamy? Maybe it was the chemicals in your regular water. Makes you wonder what your really drinking. Yuck! Love, Lemon |
