You should always face your fears and never be afraid of what lyes ahead or the results to your own actions. Running away will only get you right back where you started, do you want to always run? Be true to urself and others. Good debate topic regina, love- |

maybe you just dont understand what goes on in some people's houses. everything is so overwhelming, they cant stand it...they need to get away from it. one thing is abuse. would you just stay home and let them do that? dont say something is pointless unless you see ALL sides of it. |

some teenagers feel the need to run away because the think their home life sucks...and they dont want to live there anymore..sometimes it becomes so unbearable for them. They run away from the problem instead of dealing with it there and then. Not everyone knows what goes on, in each and every persons house. There is abuse, violence and hate...not exactly pleasant..=) *hugglies* love ya! |

yea i see everyones points but it still sems in most situations that running away only helps for a while.......can it be something that helps forever........i don't see how......i mean maybe at times it can........but in the end you leave your family.....your friends....your life behind.........it is basically like changng who you were before.........leaving everything you were behind..........running away may do good for some but i don't see why it is needed.....maybe in like abuse ok...but i mean teens run away for no reason and i don't see why

I was sent to one of those rehab boarding schools up in Montana on a ranch.I ran away.I got to Seattle,WA. I gave up because I thought about my future.I went to my aunt's house and they sent me back on a plane.-TessekTheQuarren |

Well, some teens lives are worse than most teens and running away is there release. You feel free. Teens don't runaway because they don't get anything there way. Even the runaway teens aren't that stupid. |

Because unfortunatly many teens are not opersting with a full deck. And there are many reasons for this, but sometimes they feel pressure building up at home and think that the solution is to run. This often ends disasterous as they can easily become prey to anyone that might want to cause them harm. |

someone at my school ran away from home, and he was put into one of those mental facilities for unstable teens. it's really sad. |

well i agree mostly, but just think.. some stuff is pretty bad in homes nowadays. It really depends on the specific person and their family, right? |

I myself have run away from home...i actually ran to another country thinking that it would help me and things would change...but they didnt....i came back to the same home which i had left 2 months later and nothing had changed things had just gotten worse...so i couldnt cope and i ran away again, this time to a friends place where i satyed for a week....i just didnt want to be with my family.....since then i hvae run away just 2 more times, never staying away for long becuase i can not cope with the things that my family do! I think that running is a way to be free from what ever is going on.....it is not fun for a teen, but it soemtimes happens, sometimes things between people can just not be sorted out and it happens, but i agree that running is not the best way to go, but i will continue to do it! *hugz* |
