hate is an emotion, a thought process and a "feeling". it is harmful as it is never a positive vibration. however, without hate could we have love, or would we be able to appreciate LOVE if not for HATE to compare it with??? I think hate is counter-productive being that it is not based apon action rather than emotion. hating does not cause any positive reaction from feeling of acting upon it. many times, hate is formed by silly prejudices and falicies. negative energy is createdby hating and sent out into the universe for no purpose what-so-ever.  |

Hmm. I wonder....Uh theres hate in this world becasue of evil,jeolous,selfish,people. Without those people the world would be peaceful. I think the Devil causes hate he is evil and he brings bad into this world. Becasue of him Adam and Eve made a wrong choice and we have to live with good and bad people on earth.(Lydia) |

I feel hate is caused by primarily by ignorance or an inability to forgive and forget. I have a rule. I do not hate. I can dislike someone very strongly but I never say nor do I ever feel hate for them. Even though they may burn me, I will still try to understand their actions instead of just blindly hating them. It keeps me very open minded. I feel that the hate that deals with topics such as racism, prejudice, sexism, religion differences and homophobia stem from ignorance and some peoples inablity to see that everyone is human and everyone has their own right to have their individual beliefs. I think society's biggest problem is this: We forget that we hate it when someone tells us we're wrong but we forget this and insist our beliefs are right. See I strongly believe that my opinions and beliefs have just as much right to exist as anyone else's BUT my opinons and beliefs are no better than anyone else's. I feel that most hate comes from small mindedness and ignorance or severe hurt. It saddens me when I look at society and see so much hate, it's so pathetic, we are such intellegent creatures, yet our minds can be so closed at times. I believe that some of the main factors contributing to hatred are fear,jealousy and unhappiness. We tend to hate what we fear. We tend to hate people that have what we want. We tend to hate due to the fact that there is no love in our lives, so to avoid rejection, we are hateful. Also, I have found that people who are unhappy gain some sort of happiness in seeing the people around them unhappy too...Thumb  |

We are instinctively driven as individuals to attain stais in a comunity the higher the status the more sucessful we are and the more likely we are to bread and pass our genes on the the next generation...this is the evelutionalry imparitive...Hate os our instintive reaction to things that challange our status or our stand in the way of our asperations of status...We hate immigrantes becouse they "take away our jobs" preventing us from attaining the financial status we beleave we are due. the list goes on and it all relates to status ranking rairly to survivle. I'm not sure what you mean by this post, do you just mean hate in general. Why does it exist? That's simple. Hate has to exist in order for love to exist. Hate cannot exist where there's no love, and vice versa. For instance, We would not know something is good if there wasn't something bad to compare it against. We would simply see it as inconsequential and wouldn't be able to appreciate it. As far as 'silly prejudices' mentioned in a post below, let me point out that while there are such things as silly prejudices, prejudice itself is not silly. It is simply another, very necessary, human reaction. |
