Yes, you get measures of the annointing of the Holy Spirit. Yes, people of different religions experience things such as this because the Holy Spirit is not the only spirit we deal with in this world. You will have other times in your life when you experience the filling or a stonger annointing of the Holy Spirit. You may even experience a time when you speak a different language which you may or may not understand, but someone else may understand. It's kind of strange when it happens but it's not a bad thing if you are asking for the HOLY SPIRIT to fill you. My advice to you is not to be afraid of being filled with the Holy Spirit and guided by the Holy Spirit. People are afraid of emotions and showing them. Sometimes they are afraid they will make a fool of themselves and don't submit to the Lord this way. They are missing out!!!  |

Hi!! I will give you my take on this. It talks about Man being created in the image of God. There are also times when Christ prays to his Father in Heaven and when He crys to Him on the cross. There are also reverences to the Holy Spirit or the Holy Ghost. A good example of a time when all three were manifested is the baptizism of Christ when Christ came up out of the water and the voice of the Father was heard from heaven and the Holy ghost decended as in the form of a dove, all three personages represented. I believe that they are three personages but that they are one in mind and purpose. Another good example of the relationship they all share is related in Christ's interceserary prayer given in the book of John. The purpose of the Holy Spirit is to testify of Christ and the Father He dose this by filling our heart and souls with those feelings you experienced. I had this happen to me also it was the most ausome feeling I have ever experinced. I was over joyed with emotion and fell over in my chair laughing. I just couldn't stop. This is the night I found god, I also found out that night that sometimes I am able to speak in tounges, it is the diffrent language the other person was talking about, I didn't understand what I was saying but the priest did..  |

The reason everything seems so much more wonderful in the world is that now you see everything through the love of Christ. You became a new creature...and see all things new. Well praise God and I'm so happy. The holyspirit is all the power of God. When you give your heart to Jesus, you get a measure of this holyspirit but If someone prayed with you and prayed for the infilling of the holyspirit then darling you got it all.  |
| Date: 3/7/2001 9:56:00 PM From Authorid: 29496 great feeling right. it definitly was the holy spirit, pat of the trinity, you know. it happens in many ways, just like you say. crying, laughing, dancing, even jumping up and down. they call it being slain by the spirit. there is also the baptism of the holy spirit. some say this only comes with the evidence of speaking in an unknown tongue that only god can understand. read the story of pentecost in your bible, its in the book of acts. it also talks about it in 1 corinthians ch. 14. many , many poeole believe that tongues is not for today, and at 1st i didn't even believe untill it happened to me. it is a special language that only god understands. this is not my opinion it is in the word of god. god bless you!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| Date: 4/5/2001 3:56:00 AM dear brother in JESUS CHRIST,when you asked jesus to be lord of your life and repented from all your sins and believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that JESUS is the son of GOD and died for you and was resurrected and sits on the right hand of the father and born of a virgin come in the flesh and are baptized in water in the name of the FATHER SON and HOLY SPIRIT you are achild of GOD. there is one baptisim there is no separate baptisim of the HOLY SPIRIT once you accept JESUS as written above you are now a child of GOD.(eph 4:4)do not pray to the holy spirit, jesus says pray to the father in my name. |
