Some use Religion to Justify Killing *Angelclaw*

You ever notice that so many religionists in the past use their doctrine of faith to justify taking a life? Take for instance the KKK - in recent years, they have been in affiliation with the white supremecist group, Arryan Nations. Aryyan Nations, some may not be aware, is a form of christianity. They take a few things here and there to make it appear that hate-crime is A-OK. Since the bible is already uncertain and contains innumerous grey areas, many see this as an oppurtunity to bend this doctrine of uncertainty how they see fit. It makes me mad to see someone using a religion to cover their murderous intent. Sure, I've got my beef with christianity, yet there are good people who just so happen to be christians, and those good people oft get grouped in with these lunatics. Not all christians are biggoted racist people - though many are, I cannot discriminate. Of course there is the infamous Inquisition - something else that often time ALL christians get blamed for! How ridiculous! All those responsible for that have been long dead! I guess I'm just sick of good people getting grouped with the bad, that's all. Don't get me wrong, I'd really like to see every biggot who has ever killed in the name of hate (*calling it god at the time) get whats coming to them.

Date: 2/19/2001 7:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 16612    Hate groups that kill "in the name of God" for there physical differences are just flawed and disgusting.I don't see how they logically rationalize it.-TessekTheQuarren
Date: 2/19/2001 7:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 8224    I couldn't agree with you more seems however, that the hate is growing by leaps and bounds and those "christians" of love, compassion and acceptance are the ones who wind up carrying the brunt of this insanity. Regardless of what our individual beliefs are, be they non-christian or christian, let's all make it a point to help eliminate this virus known as "hate" - it's long overdue. Excellent post Ryan. Date: 2/19/2001 8:36:00 PM  From Authorid: 15070    Excellent post Ryan!how did you get so smart?*smiles*, there have been more wars fought in the name of religion than any other. and yes, more people have been exterminated in the name of a "lord", or a god.but, there are excellent people of all faiths!
Date: 2/19/2001 10:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 17525    It seems that "hate" like "beliefs" is a learned part of our characters. If only we could un-learn.
Date: 2/19/2001 10:01:00 PM  From Authorid: 17525    Revenge is not really that sweet Angelclaw. ;-)
Date: 2/20/2001  From Authorid: 16671    good post, I'm glad that finally someone can see that a person can not lump all chrisitans together like this. Its crazy, as we were not even born when rome killed so many people in the name of God and Jesus. Its wrong to kill in the name of anyone.
Date: 2/20/2001 12:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 15232    Individuals of the KKK, who claim to be christian, are obviously not living for God. Actions so evil, as murder, are in no way acceptable to God. It's in the 10 commandments, "thou shalt not kill." Those KKK guys aren't reading their bibles, and have no clue as to what being a christian is! It makes me sick that people do such disgusting acts to others, and believe in their mind they are doing it for God. Those white supremacists give "christian" a bad name, and that really urks me!
Date: 2/22/2001 10:54:00 AM  From Authorid: 17874    You are so misinformed it's painful. You state the Arryan Nation as being a form of christianity. It is not. The Arryan Nation adopted some ideals from christianity and are self proclaimed christians. Christianity never adopted them. They are far from any form of christianity. God Bless, Aargorn
Date: 2/24/2001 10:40:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 16160    Arryan Nations is a type of denomination. A denomination would be a sect, or form, no? They interpret the bible as a manual for what they refer to as 'racial cleansing'. It's not uncommon to have legions of christians kill in history - I'd say Arryan Nations is tame to what has been in the past. Fanatic religious lunatics are dangerous. And are you stating that '20/20' or Fox News as misinformed?
