Ever wonder that if there really were angel/human hybrids....and the bible seems to say there were in many different verses...do those lines still survive today?.....they would have to......if that is the case.....there are those amongst us with angels in our blood...hmmmmmm.......is that where psychics come from, i wonder?  |

The skeletons could have come from Europeans. Archeoligists have been coming up with more evidence that thousands of years ago Europeans may have populated parts of North and South America before the Natives came over from Asia. So these taller skeletons could have been the ancestors of these travellers. Or there could have been a tribe of abnormally tall people that existed for a while before being wiped out for some reason. If the area had a particularly nutritious food source, the extra nutrition would have made them grow larger than their neighbours who may have had a poorer diet. And genes might have something to do with it. If those particular people had a gene that caused them to grow extremely large that could explain their size. These genes cause people to grow up to 9-10ft today so 6ft back than would seem about right.  |

I would probably put it down to migration of peoples. I know that my race, New Zealand Maori, travelled through a great part of this world before settling here at NZ. There are also tales of Maori warriors standing 8 feet in height. Weapons called 'tiaha' (wooden spears) have been found that would indicate the owner was at least 8 feet tall...as the spear is fashioned in accordance with the users height and build. There are also reports from early European settlers that there were pockets of Maori who were described as well built giants. Interesting post, I really enjoyed it. Peace, AGENT SMITH  |

neat....I didn't know that...I wonder what the tallest person ever was...and i don't mean the wadlow...I mean...if people could have been 8ft tall in ancient times...even if it's just a genetic glitch...then who's to say how tall the biggest one ever was..something to ponder...even if it was just one person...can you imagine a 10 foot tall human? |

Actually there is today a person who is either 10ft tall or just under it. He has the same defect Andre the Giant had and it's the one I mentioned. But he lives in near constant pain and has many minor physical difficulties. So while a few people maybe even an entire group probably reached hieghts of 10ft and occasionally 12ft it wouldn't be a common occurance. And if different groups went and slaughtered these people like many ancient myths mention, than the gene would have largely been wiped out and we're left with only the occasional very tall person. |

There are still giants in the world. Did no one see My Giant with Billy Crystal. The reason we don't see many is that their height causes medical problems so their life expectancy is generally short. Biblically in Genesis 6 sons of God (angels or heavenly beings) came and mated with human women and children were born who became giants, but to the comment that some of us may have angel blood in us. This is impossible if you believe the Bible because this happened before the great flood that killed everyone on earth except Noah and his family who may not have been spared only because God admired his faith but also because he was purely human. |
