It was in a town named Siatre where a hero laid slain and true love was lost. I'll take you back to the small town where once love had began. It was a cold and dreary night when brought forth to life was a child named Brella. Brella was born to the King and Queen of Siatre, Lord and Lady Estrelsia. A doctor once said that Lady Estrelsia could not bare children so they thought Brella was Gods miracle to them. Lady Estrelsia took it hard and tried to kill herself dozens of times and each time a servant would find her and save her because without Lady Estrelsia the town would be in chaos with a madman as a king. Lord Estrelsia was a mean hearted man before the birth of his only child, Brella. It was said that the Lord would kill his servants if he had thought they had talked to the Lady about him murdering the children of Siatre. The murders took place in the towns Cathedral were the Father of the church would impregnate a women, the guards would take the child away from it's mother after birth telling the women the baby had died, Then Lord Estrelsia would kill the child just out of spite because it wasn't his child. Lady Estrelsia was a beautiful woman with soft green eyes, and fiery red hair, I should tell you that every man on earth fell in love with her. Now Lord Estrelsia was not as fair looking as you might think he had black hair, with cold blue eyes that nobody could read not even his wife. It is hard to describe what Brella looked like and even the gods had trouble of telling the beauty of this one child. She had hair that was golden brown with soft curls; the clearest blue eyes that even the Gods couldn't seem to disappoint. I was her maid and it was I who saw her die. I'm getting ahead of myself let's start back at the beginning.. "I can't believe it," Said Lady Estrelsia "I'm pregnant. Hurry go get father." It was my duty to tell the Lord that his wife was pregnant I can still remember the day. He was sitting in a dark room when I came in he was in the corner weeping. "Excuse me lord." I said in a quiet voice. "Yes!" he boomed in a hateful voice for I had disturbed him. "I have some good news!" "Yes, Yes what is it?" "Your wife, she's pregnant!" I can honestly say I've never seen him so happy he actually jumped up in the air grabbed me, hugged me and told me to send for a carriage. I always thought that it would have been better if she had told him herself but I can understand that she was afraid of what his reaction would be I'm just glad he didn't kill me! I called for a carriage and had to go with the lord for I was the Lady's top maid and it is said that when the Lady has a child the top maid becomes the child's maid wither or not you want to be. "Oh Honey I can't believe It." Said the Lady "Me either how did it happen? All the doctors said that we couldn't have children." "I think all the prayers I sent to Zeus finally got answered." Smiling Lady Estrelsia got up and went to the window. Naturally I left after Lord Estrelsia started to cry. After about 6 months Lady Estrelsia was bed bond for the doctors were afraid that she might lose the baby. Lord Estrelsia had already changed considerable he opened all the windows in the castle, he had stopped killing the children of the town. Lady Estrelsia was normally sat by the window and stared out at all the children hoping, and wishing that one of these days it would her child out there dancing, running, and playing. It was the 12 of June when I heard the Lady yell out my name. I ran into the room saw she was going into labor and yelled for them to call the Lord, I delivered the baby. I was scared it was the first child I had ever delivered and the Lord wasn't there yet. Finally at 3 past the hour of 5 Brella Estrelsia was handed to her father in a blanket with the crest of Athena on it. After the birth of Brella our main worry was Lady Estrelsia she hadn't stopped bleeding so I called the doctor. The doctor came and said the Lady was going to die if we didn't stop the bleeding soon. We didn't know what to do so 12 past the hour of 6 Lady Estrelsia died with her child in her hands praying to the gods that her child would survive. The lord didn't know what to do he finally got his wish but no one to help him, but me the child's maid. The first few months were the hardest making sure that Brella was watched all day and night the Lord was always there checking on her but at that time there was a war in the kingdom and he was often called away so I often stayed and slept in the castle. It made my heart sad to know that I was taking care of the Lady's child, the one she prayed for, and she couldn't be here to see her grow. "Samantha, Wake up!!" said the Lord. "What? What's wrong?" I answered. "Nothing I wanted to talk to someone." "Okay," I yawned, "what do you want to talk about?" "I think I'm in love with someone and I need some advice." He asked Of course I was shocked " okay go ahead and ask away!" I smiled as if to show that I was glad the child would have a mother. "I'll wait to tell you who after you answer me something." "Okay," "What is your favorite flower?" I laughed, for no one had ever asked me what my favorite flower was "Well I have to admit it is Black roses!" The Lord smiled " Will you call me Eric from now on." I answer, "I don't think I can I am a servant sir they will start rumors." He replied, "They wont have to!" He then took me by the hand and dragged me out into the court, "I vow Samantha never to leave your side and to love you no matter what." I was having a heart attack when he said that, " I, Samantha, vow to bare your children and take your last name and wear it with pride." We were smiling but I could hear the whispers and I took it to heart. After a few years I had given Eric four other children three of them girls, Emia, Athesia, and Demia and the one boy we had was Cire. I admit at first I was afraid Cire wasn't going to survive for he was born so small that I could hold him in the palm of my hand but after many prayers to Zeus he grew bigger and bigger. Emia was everyone's favorite she was the comedian what can I say she was loved. Demia was evil I can honestly say that she didn't care what I thought and always blamed Cire when she did anything bad and last but not least there was Athesia. Athesia, I think, was born at the worst of all times she was born weak and sick we tried everything we could but the child was always getting sick I prayed every day that she would come home and be fine but it never happened. Brella loved her brothers and sisters and knew the truth that I wasn't her mother we often found ourselves talking about her. As the lord was getting older he told Brella that if she married her husband would get the kingdom, if not Cire being the only son he had would get it. Brella never liked the idea of getting married but I often found her talking about her one true love. It was about that time the King and I did our annual ball we dressed our children in their finest clothes I was hoping they would find someone to love before the King died so he wouldn't worry about them, and so I wouldn't worry about them. At the ball there were many Kings and Queens who come from other kingdoms to meet the latest people. Brella was dressed in all white I could tell that she looked a lot like her mother I admit I was jealous but I never let it get to me. There was one man who caught Brella's eye, his name Xavier Lynn, I personally had meet Lord and Lady Lynn they had told me he was getting ready for marriage and that they were trying to find someone he got along with instead of picking his wife for him. "Brella come here!" I said "Yes mother what is it?" she smiled. "You see that man right there?" "Yes." She answered. "That is Xavier Lynn I do wish for you to show him around and get to now him as a favor for Lord and Lady Lynn." "Okay mother!" She said. I tell you know that was the greatest and stupidest thing I ever did for my dear Brella. I stayed up all night long I guess you could say I knew something was wrong finally at 12 o'clock Lord and Lady Lynn came over to the castle bearing, what they thought was the best news to have, Xavier and Brella had gotten married I thought Eric was going to go through the roof but he took it well and just smiled. He died that night I guess he died happy I would hope so it was 6 past the hour of 9 when I noticed he was not breathing. Cire had also got married that night, to a woman named Lucinda. He broke down in tears for he knew he was going to have to leave and rule the kingdom of Lord and Lady Riowel. Demia didn't seem to care too much for she had gotten married a few years before and lived in a fair away country. Athesia was the one I feared to tell the news to and when I did it killed her for she broke down and died lying in my arms. After we had Athesia my angel and her fathers funeral, life got back to normal I was about 39 at that time when Brella and Xavier came and moved into the castle I asked them to move me out and buy me a house in the middle of nowhere but Brella refused to let me leave, I guess she was afraid to let me die alone. At about that time a war broke out in the neighboring kingdoms and since we were the largest kingdom there was a battle over us not knowing what to do Xavier asked his friend Robert for advice. "What do we do? Sit here and wait for them to attack us or do we protect ourselves and fight them out of our land before they have the chance to guess what we are about to do?" "Now Xavier listen to what I say carefully we need not fight this fight it is between the other kingdoms not us." "You can't tell me that I have to sit here and wait to see what happens.." "I told you Xavier trust me." Later that night I was in my room, were I normally am, when Brella came in to tell me that she was pregnant. "Mom!!!" She said as she busted into the room." "What is it dear?" I said trying to hide someone. "I found out I'm pregnant!" She said with cheer! I ran to her and gave her a hug, "Congratulations! Does Xavier know?" "Not yet I wanted you to be the first to know!" She said and then left. Right about that time Robert, Xavier's friend, came out of my closet "Remind me next time to lock the door!" he said while smiling. "Okay remind me to find a better place." I winked at him when Xavier came busting through the door to share his good news. "Was I interrupting something?" he asked "Yes you are, but since your already here what do you want?" Robert replied. "Brella's pregnant!!" he said as he danced around the room, and then left. As soon as the door shut I laughed "Next time lock the door." I said with a smile! After Robert had left I went out on the balcony I could see the fires coming closer and closer to the kingdom I was worried that maybe this kingdom wouldn't last as long as Eric had dreamed. That night I had a nightmare that I saw Brella drowning in the ocean and I couldn't save her I was helpless for I wasn't there. When I woke I dismissed the dream for I would never leave my Brella's side. During the next few months the war had stopped and Brella was getting bigger and bigger. Robert asked my daughter if he could marry me, he was about 40, Brella said yes so we got married. I guess I was a little happy that he didn't want any children I can tell you if he did I would have accepted it and had children but he didn't. I guess many thought that I was insensitive but at least my children didn't and that's all that mattered to me. It was a few weeks later when Brella went into early labor I knew somehow the child wasn't going to survive but they named it Justin Lynn they said they wanted the child to have a name so the gods could call him in for dinner. Brella took it hard but got over it when they found out that there was another baby coming, it was a girl of which they named her Elizabeth Estrelsia. Not to long after Beth's birth Xavier was called away by his father Lord Lynn, there was a war in his kingdom and he wished hid son would come and help. So he left and took Brella. Beth was still to small so the doctor told them that she had to stay with me. They were going to take Robert but decided against it just in case anything happened to them, I tell you if I had known they were going to take a boat I would have laid my body out in front of it so they couldn't leave. I had a nightmare, of which I mentioned before, I could see a boat and on this boat named Athena was Brella. I saw another boat come up and attack Athena it was on fire and I could see my Brella jump into the water, I couldn't see her husband though I guess he was fighting them off to save my Brella, she was drowning her father had never taught her to swim there were no ponds or lakes around so she didn't know how. I saw her hand reach for the sky as if reaching for a hand and then nothing. I sat up and looked around hoping it was just a nightmare I saw Robert sitting up to. We had the same dream not knowing what to do we waited and a few days later we got a note saying that Athena had been attacked and destroyed and there was no survivors. I guess you could have said that's the day I lost it even though I had more children she was the one thing that made me feel I was still close to her father. Robert and I stepped in and to take care of Elizabeth. Robert became king and I again queen. After Brella's death I called upon my son Cire to come home for I didn't think I could make it without one of my children around. Cire came home and brought his wife Lucinda and daughter Bestrika. "Mother!" He said as he walked through the door. "Yes son?" I said with a smile "I'm afraid I've been called back home to Riowel Lord Riowel has gotten sick and they need they next in command to make the decisions." I guess you could say I was happy my son was leaving I still had my husband around to spend time with and without a second thought I sent him home. "Robert," I asked "Yes my love?" "What are we suppose to do know Elizabeth's now married we are old do you think we deserve a break?" I always asked this question and always got the same answer. "My dear wife even if I wasn't king you'd never get a break for I would make love to you ever waking moment!" I always smiled when he answered that for I knew it was the truth because he always kept his word. This time another war broke between the kingdom of Lucien and us. At first Robert didn't want to fight and I still don't think he did but when called to war you have to fight. We told Elizabeth that she was to take over the kingdom no matter what when we returned but she refused to stay at home without her husband for he was in the front line and I refused to leave the side of my love, this time, and went with them. I rode a pure white horse next to my husband on the way to Lucien. We didn't get outside of our kingdoms gate when an arrow hit on of the someone if front and a war broke out I went looking for Elizabeth for she had rode in the front, even thought I begged her not to, by her husband. I could see the blood falling and hitting the floor as men were fighting men and knights were fighting knights. After an hour Lucien sent a messenger to say they give up for they didn't think that we were as strong as they had thought. It was a few days later when they found the body of Elizabeth for she was the first person hit, her husband was found clutching her body and crying for revenge. He got it soon enough while we were all clearing our way home Merck, Elizabeth's husband tried take his own life for he prayed to Zeus to bring her back to life. I am a witness for that it did not work and instead Zeus made sure Merck survived. Merck never married another in fact he made sure his wife was praised for she was a hero to all in the town of Siatre and he would, and could never love anyone else they way he loved his Elizabeth.
