I went out for my nighttime walk that I love so much. I always stare up at the sky and look at all the stars. Living in the country they aren't hard to find. Tonight I went out and saw the brightest satr I have ever seen, but I can honestly say it was NOT a star. It was over the mountains in the distance and was EXTREMELY bright. It had green streams of light coming out from each side and moved back and forth VERY slowly. I kept thinking "This must be a plane or a helicopter" but I saw about three planes go by, one was closer to us and it was nowhere as bright. It them turned to a pulsating red and vanished. It came back closer to the horizon and seemed to change shapes from a circle to two triangles, one on top of the other, and then oblong and then back to pulsating red. I have never seen anything like it before. Does anyone have any idea what it was? How it changed my life: I have my camera ready! Where's my binoculars???
