Kinda do that sometimes. In her eyes I find what I left behind, I find myself again. In her eyes I see what love can be, I see a very special friend. In her eyes I drift and fade away, And I never want to return. In her eyes I feel her power to heal, And something for which I yearn. In her smile I find such welcoming warmth, It feeds my very soul. In her smile I'm but a child once more, Not one who feels so old. In her smile I see such mystery, What secrets must she know. In her smile I'm blessed with unending peace, She makes me feel so new. In her arms is where I long to be, For I know she understands. In her arms she gives what I need to live, The courage to become a better man. In her arms I'd stay forever and a day, Our embrace would never end. In her arms I'd be forever free, With you, forever, my friend. Yet...how does one express true love, When I struggle with it every day? How does one show that they care, When they can't find the words to say? How does one get closer to you? Please tell me so I'll know. And how does one repay your gift, Of the trust that you have shown? How can I discuss what I feel so much, This connection I have with you? And how do I say without scaring you away, That my feelings are forever true? How can I explain these thoughts in my brain, This passion I feel inside? And how do I reach the one I seek, The one I want for life? Am I wrong in what I feel? Should I just hold it in? Should I deny what I feel inside? Deny what I have seen? Should I just chill out and take a breath, Stand back and regain my thoughts? Or should I back off, just leave you be, When I know it's you I've sought? But how will I live without you in life? How does one go on? Could I face the day if I just went away? To me THAT would be wrong. And how will I find my path again, Without your guiding light? Or am I just thinking too much again, When I should accept it'll be alright.
