My sister and I were staying the weekend over at my uncle's house. We were watching the movie "Witchboard". When the movie was over, we decided to go to the store and purchase a Ouiji board. Once we got it home, we began to try it out. First, my sister and my uncle tried...no response. Then my uncle and I...no response, then my sister and I. We tried for about an hour and was about to give up. On our last try, the board began to talk to us. In order to convince us that this was a spirit, we asked the board what our uncle's social security number was (which we had no idea what it was) and the license plate number on his vehicles. The answers were 100% accurate.
This whole incident had me shaken (and my uncle and sister as well), but we continued to talk with the spirit. We, at one point, began asking the spirit personal questions. He said his name was Seced and that he was from Panama. He also told us he passed away from a fire accident and that he was my uncle's "guardian angel". We talked to Seced for a few hours. It was difficult for any of us to sleep that night. The following morning my sister and I also talked to the spirit; however, in the middle of our "conversation" the spirit hesitated (the talking piece was spelling out words and then just began swaying to and fro). He then said he needed to go. Later that day, and the third time we spoke with him, Seced told us that "evil" spirits were trying to channel in on the board and that we need to stop.
After the weekend stay, my aunt, who was out of town, spoke to my uncle. My uncle mentioned to her what we did that weekend and she vehemently said to burn the board! My uncle ended up getting rid of it.
How it changed my life:That one instance with the Ouiji board has convinced me that there is something beyond our existence. Either a spiritual world, or something unconscious in us. I believe in both. I cannot, to this day, comprehend what had occurred that evening.
