for anyone who might have thought this.....the texas chainsaw massacre is not a true story.but aspects of the movie were based loosly on a serial killer named ed gein. ED GEIN didnt live in texas but he did dig up bodies from his local graveyard! and, he did keep his mother's corpse in her bedroom after she died. his mother was a fundimentalist christian and, she wouldnt even let him speak to a girl, and, she kept him under her wing untill she died so ed was pretty attached to her and, dug her body up and, put it in her bedroom,(wich is what inspired the classic film pycho)he killed several women and, when the cops got a warrent for his farmhouse they found some pretty gross stuff,a skull cut in half used as a bowl, female genitalia that were removed from the body and, put into a box under the couch. he also addmitted that he would where the flesh of a woman he kiled and, pretend to be his mother. this isnt really an urban legand ...its very true and, there are records on it. there are plenty of sites that will tell you the entire story. this man inspired alot of slasher films like deranged, pycho ,texas chainsaw massacre as well as some other's. i said before that this is not an urban legand ...but what is ,is the fact that alot of people think texas chainsaw was a totally true story ...that what happened in the movie is a reenactment..this is not true its just based on certain aspects of a serial killer.
