Kalashnikovs and Semtex and AK47's,
Spray the ballot box with blood,
Protestants and Catholics go to heaven,
All dying for the uncommon good,
Nail bombs and pipe bombs and snipings,
In an endless eye for an eye,
No one accepts the others gripings,
And the innocent continue to die,
Eniskillen, The Docklands, The Grand,
Pub bombs car bombs and Mountbatten,
The public will never understand,
Why so many hopes were flattened,
Adams, McGuiness, Paisley and Mowlam,
All looking for an amicable way out,
What about the bereaved, who'll console em',
Are they even being talked about,
Vengeance and hatred and undying spite,
Turn the emerald from green to red,
They continue to war and to lie and to fight,
And continue to bury the dead,
End it and stop it cease and desist,
It's time to give peace a chance,
And remember the victims so sorely missed,
And not look at each other askance,
Kill it and stomp it and rob it of breath,
This twisted little minion called hate,
Shoot it and bomb and kick it to death,
And force it back through Hells fiery gates,
