I don't rely on proof. After all, they had proof we had been to the moon, and then it turned out it wasn't so. I put all my belief on faith and trust. I believe that God is the ultimate, He is the only one, He was always there, He created life. It is hard to believe, because people always ask, "Where was He before? Who made Him, then?". I can't answer those questions with anything but, "I don't think there was anyone before Him." People ask then, "Then how did He get there?" I say "I'm not sure, I'm just putting my faith in Him. The Bible says He is the first, and I believe that." Whatever you decide to believe, you only believe it because of your faith and trust in your god. There is no proof anywhere than anyone is watching over us, yet so many of us believe in a god, and what do we have to base all of that on? Our faith and trust alone. JMO though. i chose not to beleive and therefore i must be chosing 'enslavement to sin'. so im going to hell? seems to me like a threat. beleive in god or go to hell. i dont beleive in hell either so im not going there. when im dead im dead. just like a plant is dead when its dead. just because i am human, it doesnt mean that i posses a special soul that other living things dont have. |

You are really confused. God dosn't exist religion is part of evolution. All matter in the universe has existed forever and will infinitly exist. Reality is much stranger than ficton. U evolved from a single celled orginizm that became primates millions of years later. Matter and energy can't be destroyed. All matter is pure energy. So the universe has existed forever and time and matter do not exist outside of the universe. |

I have just finished writeing a research paper on why God does exist and so have a new view on the subject. To answer the original post: The universe contains time and therefore had to have a beginning (wont blab on about how the theory of eternal time is faulted) God is the only logical beginning because ANYTHING else can be counted as a part of this world. Therefore God created time. and to create it he had to be beyound time. There is nothing that was before God because there is no "before" if time was not yet created. The only reason why people have trouble with the Idea is because to rationalize our world we think about everything in terms of time and cant Imagine it not existing. have you ever heard of the Big Bang Theory? That's the way it went. There is no way that some guy could just point and get whatever he wanted. It's impossible. There is a scientific explaination for everything we know about earth and its existance. The bible was written by some guys sitting on a hill smoking some herb. Its some interesting stuff, but it's not what really happened. We got here out of natural selection. The oceans were created by rainfall and glacier melting. Eventually we will not be here, not because god is going to reverse everything he did, but because the earth cannot sustain itself "indefinitly" it was not meant to last forever and will not. Just be happy you are here, and don't expect anything after you are gone. There is nothing. I guarantee it. |
