it dont matter what color a person is to me...even if they are dating..it shouldnt matter...does their color effect the way they act??? i think its extremely rude for people to be against a different race....its sooo wrong!  |

And that you should like a person for the way they are and not their skin color. And I think that your parents should accept that guy because sometimes if you really love or like someone you are going to be with someone no matter what anyone says or does so just be true to yourself and don't let anyone talk you out of it. |

Love is love....and people are people. You can't help who you love. And, I for one, see NOTHING wrong with interracial dating (I am white, my sweetie is black) and it's really sad, the amount of B.S. that people will give you because of it. *shrugs it off* Doesn't get to me, though! :) Oh, and good luck with your parents! Maybe they will open up to new ideas, if they see how much it means to you. I know my dad did!  |

This is a tough issue to confront-- I am not racist, I've had many other-colored friends and friends who are couples (black with white and vise-versa), I see no problem with it. But on the other hand I personally wouldn't date anyone to far off my own track, if that makes any sense...  |

I am with Kelsey77 on this one, I have family that married a different race, and had children, and I love those kids just the same, I can tell you that those kids have a hard time b/c they are mix. I have friends who date ohter races, and I am ok with that, to me it is their business, I myself wouldn't, but that is just me. I have had friends of different races etc. I just chose not to get involved. I don't look down on people that do, and you are right their color doesn't make them who they are, but the sad thing is in this world alot of people think that it is wrong to date out of race. It is sad, but true. Good Post. I wish you the best of luck, and if you love this guy, then I say go for it, and make your parents understand that he is what makes you happy, not his color, but him his self. I know from experience with my family, they will learn to love him just the same, and they won't even think of him as a different race. ((HUGZ))  |

child please this is the year 2001 tell your parents to get over it and worry more about kids who are starving in diverse places people dying every hour of cancer aids high blood pressure. I dont know why white people have such a hard problem with this issue 9 out of 10 whites have a problem with this 1 out of 100 blacks have a problem with this and the tripped out part is that at least the indian boy knows where he came from at least blacks know where we came from at least jews know where they came from where exactly did white people come from ? No Offense. God created all people red roses grow in the field with lilies why can't whites and blacks grow together. ask your parents who are they to judge if they knew how God intended for it to be they would not fix thier mouth to tell you who to choose to make you happy which is what they should be more concerned about, YOUR HAPPINESS |

My boyfriend is white and my dad does not like the fact that I date white guys. I tell my dad to get over it because he is not going out with him and he is not going to kiss him. I know that my dad does not like it. He told my little brother that he better not come home with a white girl because white people stink and they can not do anything for him but mess up his life. I think that my dad is really messed up because I found out that my dad's dad is white and indian. When I told him about it he said do not tell anyone. With the dating thing I think that if someone likes or loves anyone to go with thier heart. Not what others say because if you do what others say that means that people have control of your life. |
