I di not believe it was a hoax, to many people involved for there not to have been someone come forward by now and make a statement. And yes, the technology did exist. One show on TV don't make a hoax.  |

I agree with King Caspian. They most certainly did have the technology, it just wasn't as advanced in certain areas, especially photography and its transmission capabilities as we have to day. For something of that magnitude, and to involve hundreds of thousands of people, and add to that world wide news agencies, media, reporters from every corner of the world poring over every detail, there is no way that IF IT WERE a hoax, that SOMEONE, SOMEHOW, SOMEWAY would not have come out with solid, (perhaps 1st hand knowlege) EVIDENCE to support it. That T.V. show was like a lot of those "shock" or sensationalism, conspiracy THEORIES shows. There are many such theories about EVERY SINGLE BIG EVENT in history, and it will always be that way. Bottom line is: People will believe which ever story, THEORY is the most cleverly written or displayed, they will believe whichever is the most SENSATIONAL. I daresay that a hundred years from now, many will believe the HOAXES (theories) about the events, over those that DID take place!. Each era, each generation adds to the myths, lies, wild claims, and even truths. Just look at all the weird, wild, off the wall beliefs, THEORIES about certain "UFO sightings" that continually spring up, and are greatly exxaggerated, with each story teller adding more "details" as time goes on. The conspiracy theories about President JFK's death, as well as his brother, MLK, Jr.'s death, etc..get more and more BIZAARE with the passing of time, and will continue to do so. It SELLS newspapers, Television shows, and is sooooooooo much fun for so many to talk about, speculate about, and just plain old "I get attention at a party" mumbo jumbo! The Thinker  |

I have read a book detailing the facts of why the landing was a hoax and they bring up some pretty interesting questions. I haven't been convinced either way but I do think the goverment is capable of covering it up.  |

My god, im not sure how many times ive seen this story posted on this site, but i guess i'll offer up the two biggest conclusive proofs we have that we actually did land on the moon. And i hope that you all can see the obviousness in this and just give it a rest, WE LANDED THERE!! Lol 1.Reflector Dish-The first can be done by just about anyone. Ok, maybe not everyone, but plenty have done it and it proves men have been up there. Basically all you do is buy a laser and a detector and a light collecting mirror. Then you fire it at a precise point on the moon. There is a reflector there, placed by Apollo astronauts. Now if there was nothing at that point but rock that would be the last you would see of your laser. But time and time again scientist claim to have been getting their laser reflected back. Indeed, they have done a number of experiments using these reflectors. So either you're going to argue that all these unrelated scientists are in on the hoax with NASA, or you have to accept that someone put those reflectors up there. Some have complained that the reflector could have been put up by an automated drone, which I suppose is feasable. 2.The second proof is to do with geology. Unfortunately you have to take a Geologist word about this one, as it is kind of complicated. (Well, it's over my head anyway.) I'll let Callum MacAlister, who emailed me about this, explain; Moon rocks are certainly non-terrestrial basalt in origin, and do not match in composition any other extraterrestrial rocks (i.e. meteorites). I could go on at great and boring length about QAPF diagrams, intergrown feldspars, oxygen-depleted micas and the like. But I won't. So, my point? I KNOW man went to the moon. There's no other way moon rocks could have come here. If they had fallen as meteorites, the atmosphere would have oxidized them in a most obvious way. These rocks are genuine, and have spent, oh, the last 5 billion years or so in an oxygen-poor, radiation-bombarded environment (fusion trails...ask me later) So there we have it. Now I know that some people have problems taking a Scientist's word on things. I guess it has something to do with not wanting to admit that there are some things you don't understand and some things that require years of study to master. Their reasoning seems to go; I don't understand it. It doesn't appear to fit into what I have decided is common sense and what I know. I know better than this person who has maybe spent the majority of their life studying this. Therefore it is lies. |

Then you even admit that you`d have to take a geologists word on the rocks, on one hand you think that the moon conspiracy is nutty, but everything your basing your beliefs on is nothing more than somebodies word because well....their a geologist,or they say they got a moon rock therefore it must be from the moon, or they said they shot a laser beam at the moon and they said it reflected the light back...Hey!!! wanna buy a bridge I got I`ll sell it to you cheap!!!! Tell ya what..if man goes anywhere in space...moon, Mars, Venus, Vulcan........where they can demostrate absolute proof to the American people that they really went there then I`ll be the first in line to say I was a jerk I do want to see space traveled ,planet`s explored , we never went back in 30 years WHY? If we could, technologically speaking, could do it then why not now ? Ever measured the inside of the LEM, then measured the space suits that the two astronouts wore on the moon? I watched a video of a guy that did....no way did it fit...Speaking of the LEM it was tested only once, and that was in Earth gravity Neil Armstrong nearly died it crashed!! It was never tested again on earth or in space much less trying to land it,but it landed perfectly each time on the so-called landings. Look I use to test cars for a living do you think the government would allow any of the big three to sell those cars to the public if they were only test driven once, and they failed at one test? TOO many questions to be answered about the moon landings to not question it. |

The moon wasn't "Flapping", it was shaking. When the Astronuats put the flag down, they let go of it and it still had some vibration left, so it started shaking, making it look as if it were flapping. Common sense helps ya know! Xenon_Trioxide_131 |

What about the place at Area 51 that looks exactly like the moon, craters and all. Go to terraserver.microsoft.com and see it with your own eyes. A little strange that the most top secret place on the planet has a site where filming of the most controversial space mission may have taken place? |

so, you think that we did not land on the moon in 1969? let me tell you this. everyone is saying thatThe radiation would be to harmful to the astronauts, but how would they be able to tell back then if we hadn't evn been there before? and don't give me that crap about sending probes and robots, they didn't send it until a couple years after. maybe the russians had the technology to send something up there, but back then the cold war was going on and the russians would of never told us anything about the probes. |
