The Morning After Pill must be taken within 72 hours of having sex. Genrally, if a woman calls her Gyn he might give her a prescription for the Morning After Pill. The problem usually is that a woman waits unitl a week or more has passed and then calls to get the pill. |

As far as i know the 'Morning After Pill' is just like the normal Pill but 4-8x higher doasage. You aren't actually pregnant the day after you have sex, it takes a little while longer than that (i think) I had no idea it was hard to get, over here i think you can get it over the counter at the Chemist, again i could be wrong. - S.C. I do not consider myself ignorant to the facts, I have studied about this pill, and I do not think it should be availiable. Because I think that if you think you take on the responsibility to have sex, you should be prepared to take on the responsibility of a child. To me, it doesn't matter whether that baby has not formed yet, you are still taking away the possibility of a life for a human being. Who knows, that baby could've been the next president. But again, this is my opinion. =Odd= |

Seems to me that this gives the wrong statement..Not only do you have to worry about getting pg ...Its not going to help with all the STDS..I would worry about stds before being pregant.............RainStorm

I think that you should have to see the doctor or go to a clinic. No one should have such easy access to it. Love, lollipop |

I have used this "pill" and actually its a series of pills. You have to get them within 72 hours of the act and its a dose of 3 that is taken every certain amount of hours. It doesn't abort anything. It is a high level of progestrine that tricks the body into thinking you are already pregnant which is the same exact thing that the birth control pill does over a period of a month. It is not a substitute for birth control but its more like a back up for other birth control that fails. At planned parenthood they call it emergency controceptive. I used birth control it failed, my husband and I already have 2 and I am not prepared for more at this time so I did what I myself felt responsible............Azairyia |

Actually, birth control pills aren't all that easy to get a hold of, and imo, I think it should be. I also think the morning-after pill should also be available.... |
