lol, I thought I was the only person who missed the smurfs. They just don't make cartoons like that anymore. I used to watch them, Jem and the Holograms, G.I. Joe, My pretty pony, Scobby Doo, and Bugs Bunny. Now my son watches cartoons like Dexter's Labratory and Cow and Chicken. *sigh* Cartoons just aren't the same. ---Jynx--- ![]() |

Wow, you sound just like me, if only my favorite 80's tv shows would come back, ALF, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, She-Ra, Smurfs, Care Bears, My Little Ponies, Gem and the Hollagrams, Rainbow Bright, Inspector Gadget, Punky Brewster, Threes Company(it's not a cartoon, but I still love it) Dark Wing Duck, Duck Tales, Pinky and the Brain, He-Man, Zoobile Zoo, Eeekk the cat, Tales from the Cryptkeeper (the cartoon and the other one), Garfield and Friends, Charles in Charge, Rescue 911, Fraggle Rock, Pound Puppies, Ghost Busters, Strawberry Shortcake, Wuzzles, Popples, Alvin and the Chipmunks, The California Raisons, Space Goofs, Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, The Jetsons, Land of the Lost, Dinosaurs (that one where there is a family of dinosaurs and one is a baby), Sliders, and many more. You can hear some of the theme songs to these old show if you go to www.dogpile.com and type in the search engine 80's cartoons and then click on one of the sites that has wav files, in fact I'm listening to the She-Ra song right now. I know exactly what you mean, I guess I like the new Walt Disney cartoons(movies) the best. I think that Disney is keeping it real. I dislike the powerpuff girls and such. I don't understand the teletubbies(just wierd) I have children so I watch pretty much what gets their attention. Luckily they LOVE scoobie doo. that I'm thankful. I just think that cartoons now are just not good for kids. My Opinion. I let my kid's watch, Lion King, Little Mermaid, Winnie the Pooh, and stuff like that. Watch ElDorado. It's good too. Yup, I remember Kidd Video. I know Alvin & the Chipmunks comes on early on the Cartoon Network. Regarding He-man and She-ra, a group of fans has been trying to get it back on for about 5 years now. BTW check out www.he-man.org. I love 80's cartoons, and other 80's stuff! (Right now I am listening to an all 80's radio station.) I agree with you completely. Cartoons today are not what they use to be. I grew up watching Justice League America, Captain Cave Man, and Speed Racer. Today's cartoons might have more of an educational messege, like Blue's Clues and Little Bear, but they're just not as fun to watch. -Mighty Mouse- ![]() |
