CARTOONS-- They just aren't what they used to be!! I miss the Smurfs !! *DizzyME*

I love cartoons. I guess I am still a kid inside. But i love cartoons like The Smurfs, She-Ra, He-Man, Scooby Doo, and stuff from when I was little. I miss those cartoons. Now I know that they show Scooby Doo on Cartoon network, but I wish they still showed some of the others. Does anyone besides me remember "Kid Video"? What are some cartoons from when you were little that you would like to see again? What are some of your favorite cartoons now?

Cartoons are so different now. :( I miss The Smurfs! *sniff*

Date: 3/1/2001 11:30:00 AM  From Authorid: 24845    I know exactly what you mean, I guess I like the new Walt Disney cartoons(movies) the best. I think that Disney is keeping it real. I dislike the powerpuff girls and such. I don't understand the teletubbies(just wierd) I have children so I watch pretty much what gets their attention. Luckily they LOVE scoobie doo. that I'm thankful. I just think that cartoons now are just not good for kids. My Opinion. I let my kid's watch, Lion King, Little Mermaid, Winnie the Pooh, and stuff like that. Watch ElDorado. It's good too.

Date: 3/1/2001 3:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 28087    Yup, I remember Kidd Video.
I know Alvin & the Chipmunks comes on early on
the Cartoon Network.
Regarding He-man and She-ra, a group of fans has
been trying to get it back on for about 5 years now. BTW check out www.he-man.org. I love 80's cartoons, and other 80's stuff! (Right now I am listening to an all 80's radio station.) Thanks for informing me that being in your early 20's is old!
Date: 3/1/2001 3:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 28087    eek... and now I can't spell sorry
Date: 3/2/2001 8:56:00 AM  From Authorid: 15777    What ever happened to "duck tales"?
Date: 3/2/2001 10:23:00 AM  From Authorid: 22361    I agree with you completely. Cartoons today are not what they use to be. I grew up watching Justice League America, Captain Cave Man, and Speed Racer. Today's cartoons might have more of an educational messege, like Blue's Clues and Little Bear, but they're just not as fun to watch. -Mighty Mouse-
