How about Heaven Lee Angel? Someone in my town named her little girl this and I thought about
when she goes to school...how many kids would pick on her because of her name. |

I don't like traditional names and I never will.....and I can't help it..... I think a lot of the people that names thier kids with "wierd" names had very traditional names growing up. I know that was the reason for my daughters name. I grew up with Jennifer's all over the place and I had one in every single class of mine from the day I started school to the day that I graduated. When I was in 8th grade a new girl moved into the district and her name was Jennifer Barnhart. My maiden name was Burkhart. There were several times that I was put on the detention list at school for things she had done and I would have to go down and straighten things out.........I don't think that my daughter will have any problems with that and her name.........;)......Azairyia....<-------daughters name |

I knew a girl named Cinderella, but the name didn't fit her at all, everybody called her Cindy. It might be okay if the name fits her.

You are so right. I went to High school with a set of triplets. They were named after types of weather conditions. Rain,Storm, and Sky. People just dont think about the future when these kids have to grow up with the teasing of their names, which was not there fault. My daughters name is Grace and there is nothing wrong with that. |

I like unusual names....I think they're cool.I know someone who'se mom didn't even have to think at all for her name lol.She knew it right away...And it turns out, she doesn't really like her name lol. They called her Katrina, but she gets everyone to call her something else...So I call her Kat.Someone else calls her Trini....Different things. My name sounds geeky lol.But I like my name...Maynard < My name |

I like unusual names too. HOWEVER.......ask yourself: WHAT goes BEYOND....."unusual" and how that name will effect a child when he is grown. For example: I knew someone whose last name was: BAER (pronounced BEAR), and her son was named: TEDDY. Hello! Teddy Baer!?? well, that may be cutsey when he is a little tyke, but what about when he walks into a bank one day, as a grown man and ask for a serious bank LOAN!? I also knew someone whose name was Springfield Riffle, and a girl named: Candy Cane. We have a gal who is a TV news anchor here in my town whose name is Christy Claus. And I met two people whose names were: Benny Bobo and Small Chance. That is just a few WEIRD names I've come across. The Thinker |

I'm not one for the traditional names but I know where to draw the line on strange ones. My son is named Elias and if I ever have a daughter she will named Willow unless I change my mind later on. I like different names but some names are just too different. I knew this chic in high school named Lisa Lisa I mean how sad is that, ppl would always make fun of her. Love, |

I like unusual names but to me, Cinderella is not unusual. If my son would have been a daughter I was going to name her Sunshine Spirit and would have let people call her Sunny. But, I'm just weird I guess. ~MOONPRIESTESS~ |

I was going to make a post on this...When I was young and in school, I had a friend and her name was Jojohns. I had a neighbour friend and her name was George Ann. Well here it goes...my husband`s name is Robin. He said he was named after a baseball player. I only can think of two men by the name of Robin...my husband and Robin Williams the actor. God Bless.
