I have been able to rid myself of hiccups by putting a PENCIL in my teeth sideways, so the end and eraser are at my cheeks, and sip lukewarm water. This works within a few seconds as well, and there is no need to turn upside down or bend yourself out of whack! Hehehee. It is the idea to get water, and air into the diaphram to stop the hiccups!  |

Thanks for the tip... I was told to take a packet of sugar & hold it under your tongue... or take a paper towel (the kind in the public restrooms) & put it over a cup of water & drink thru the paper towel... you will probably have to suck real hard to get the water thru but it works... hmm i think i will do this!! lol...or my mom can find out and make me mad..it works lol..one time i had the hiccups and my mom said 'lauren who was that guy i saw you kissing!?' and i got mad and it went away lol...but in case my mom doesn't notice my hiccups i'll try this thanx!! lol  |

I have found I get them alot also what works for me is I take a small Browm paper sack (lunch sz) I then scrunch up the top BUT it has to be where you can breath in and out of it you have to do this for several seconds then you stop try to breath for afew seconds to see if the Hiccups are gone and if not repeat the step again. So good luck this is POUTWRP!!! |

I get the hiccups frequently and my mom told me to take a pinch of salt and place it under your tongue and let it dissolve. It works every time!! I have also heard that sugar works the same way. Storm  |

Another thing that works for me is peanut butter, just eat a big spoonfull of it, and they should be gone after that.  |
