That was great!! I have always thought that same thing too. Lot's of people have believed that the bible was a "rule book" of sorts. Not me. It is a testimony of his love and mercy for his children. How he took care of us. The anger and hurt when we did things wrong. Over and Over again. He may have destroyed those bad people at first but who can blame him? They were worshiping stone and gold instead of the One who created them. I don't blame God for that. I think that he has great mercy in forgiving us, and trying to help us. He's just like a father if you think about it. How many times have you ticked off your parents and they get so mad at you but do they stop loving you and don't forgive you? NO. they let you learn on your own, make mistakes and learn from them and let you cry on thier shoulders when you've messed up. They love you just like God loves you. I think that was a great post.
