When I was 17yrs. old, my brother was coming home from a two year assignment for the army in Japan with his new wife. My parents were driving to Chicago O'hare airport to pick them up. We lived on a corner lot over- looking a ravine that reached about a mile out to the St. Joseph River. A beautiful sight. We had received my brother's Akita- Chow dog, Rocky, from Japan about a month prior. So, after I had worked all day, I happily ran in the house and greeted Rocky. Changed my clothes and sat down with some sewing in my favorite chair and contemplated what my new sister would be like and how much my brother might have changed. Suddenly, Rocky started going crazy. Barking and growling. I looked up from my sewing and saw Rockey was looking out the picture window that overlooked the ravine. I arose to see what he was barking at. There stood a man staring in the window! I will never forget his face! He was tall with almost white-blonde hair..and yellowish eyes; pale skin. I opened the bottom half of our dutch door and yelled, 'I will let this dog after you if you don't get out of here!' The man didn't move away, so I let Rocky go. Rocky immediately charged this man biting into his pantleg, and before my eyes and Rockys eyes, the man vanished into thin air. Rocky looked a bit confused turning back toward me with a piece of the man's pantleg in his teeth. I made no report to the police. How could I explain the way the man vanished? When my family returned they made a report and of course there were no tracks, no nothing, except the piece of pantleg material At least they knew I wasn't lying. Five years later I was married with two children and living in Kansas City Missouri. My youngest child was in the hospital at the time and I could not sleep so I was in the basement doing laundry. Our house was built on an incline so that the front door was ground level but the back door was down stairs. It was a new house with little land- scaping as yet. It was about 3:00a.m. and pouring rain with a lightening storm outside. All of a sudden there was a man at the sliding door, peering in and he seemed to be terribly distressed. He frightened me so, I just screamed. He didn't move away and I realized he was the same man. Then he vanished just as before. The police came and searched and just as in Michigan, there were no tracks, no nothing to show that any one had been at the door. Odd, because of the weather conditions; there should have at least been footprints. A few months later, I was looking out my back window looked out over our back yard. The lot was some 100ft. deep and went into a small woods area. There stood the same man. This time I looked long and hard at him. Taking in his features. It was daytime and I was not startled this time. Then he wave at me and vanished into thin air once again. I wish I knew who he was and why he was there. I don't recall seeing him again to this day and that was 32yrs. ago. Every once in a while, I hear a man's voice call my name. Usually when I am near danger or accidents. If you have any thoughts about this my 'E' address is: manju_starr@hotmail.com How it changed my life:It has made me know that the supernatural is true and made me seek that world all my life. Actually, I have had supernatural/ paranormal experiences since early childhood. Perhaps I will write about those also. Thank you for this site and for your time.
